A STORY THAT BEGINS IN THE LATE 19TH CENTURY
The history of this residence begins at the end of the 19th century, when the farmhouse and its land were purchased for 1,500 lire by the wealthy Roggero lords.
Here their only daughter Olga was born and raised, an esteemed primary school teacher who found in her pupils the affection of children and grandchildren; in fact she never married, choosing to live simply and taking care after the work of the estate and the fruits it gave her.
At the beginning of the 1980s the Pretto family, who had just moved to the hamlet of Rivalta, met Miss Olga and adopted her as a member of their family.
Olga, rediscovering the warmth of family affection, decided to stay, continuing to live as she always had, selling eggs from her farm and embroidering for passion.
OLGA’S LOVED HOUSE BECOMES A FARMHOUSE WITH HOSPITALITY AT THE HEART
Twenty years later, in his memory, the Pretto family chose the name the Cà d’Olga to give a soul and a story to the location they had created, transforming the old residence into a farmhouse, thanks to a careful restoration.
Managed for two decades by mother Silvana and daughter Irene, the farmhouse has always maintained the charm of the architectural style of the place, elegant and reserved.

A NEW LIFE FOR THE CÀ D’OLGA
In 2022 the Pozzato family, originally from Novara and always passionate about the Langhe, took over the Cà d’Olga farmhouse.
Maintaining what was started by the Pretto family and making use of the collaboration of Irene, Simone Pozzato has chosen to keep alive the tradition of hospitality that flows in the stone of these ancient walls.
